I chuckle to myself when I see these young bucks with new pickups with fancy wheels and then remember I was once young and driving a new pickup with fancy wheels. And , no I couldn't really afford it but I was young and foolish. I'm 60 now and driving an 18 year old pickup that I'm totally happy with. My how age changes us.
Funny you mention that. Grandad uses to always go on about these big timers in the 80's driving their brand new, four wheel drive Chevy trucks wearing sun glasses. One day I reminded him that in 1980 he had a brand new four wheel drive Chevy and wore his sunglasses while he drove it. Have heard about it since. He never thought about it that way 20 years after the fact. Should have seen the look on his face. |
