Subject: Pickups and Farmers

NE North Dakota
Not sure where this post belongs but i need to go on a small rant. Went up town to the cafe for some grub over the noon hour today and was blown away by the new pickups on main street, I was even more shocked when i went into the cafe and saw the avg age of people buying these new pickups. The cafe had its typical "senior" crowd and than another table or two filled with 23-28 year olds. Their was 4 new pickups "dealer plates" outside. 2 GMC Sierra 1500 and 2 Ford F-150's. I guess my rant is that I am in my 40's and currently drive a 2008 GMC Sierra 2500. I suppose if i wanted I could afford a new pickup but would much rather put the 35-40K towards 2017 inputs. My question is are these kiddos making monthly payments?? Living on "dads" money?? Have done some fabulous marketing that I fail at every year?? I get the feeling that the youth thinks they are entitled to this. Funny thing is "dad" is driving a 7-8 year old pickup. Perhaps its just jealousy??
