west cent ohio | I'm not sure you can accurately vrt p&k without first fixing the ph. See chart. I would be interested in others thoughts on this. I am not an agronamist.
Edit: to clarify . It is my understanding that a soil test is the amount available to the crop, not the total in the soil. The attached chart shows that more p is available at 6.5 ph than 6. So your soil test results should rise by changing your ph. I have not found any formula to account for this for fertilizer application rates. All this rambling to say- I don't think they can accurately tell you how much p to put on without a new soil test. I would not go overboard with rates just yet.
