Subject: Is hair removal on a calf a concern in cold weather?

perryton, tx
Rest of the story: I took a calf to the vet to get de-horned-they shaved pretty much the whole top of her head for the process. We're forecast to have wind chills around zero for the middle part of this week so I'm thinking that frostbite on the shaved area could be a concern. I'm also wondering what steps I might could take if necessary to minimize the danger. Thanks
