Subject: The beauty of wrapped baleage in a northern winter

Driftless SW Wisconsin

After our first 5" snow of the season brought me and my cattle back to reality from grazing into December, a month longer than usual, I put out the first baleage for my heifer group. I was reminded how much I like wrapped baleage compared to dry bales stored outside. These even smell good to me. Another advantage to wrapping bales, even compared to bales in the shed, is that I have tubes of bales distributed around and easier to get to in bad weather than carrying bales from the shed. Here are a couple pics I'll try to post from my phone.
