Ground is probably going for 5-9k on 190 aph ground.

Income is 7.5 times that of 1964...no argument there.

However using your figures it now takes 9 acres to pay for an additional acre with gross dollars.

The paradox of efficiency and modernization.

Technology, like in hogs, has had its effect on cropland as well.

On the upside, we are paying much less in interest costs than in the 60's. Another reason for higher land prices.
