With current health care costs it really doesn't matter how cheap you want to live, health care costs will eat up a pile of money.    

The premium for the current health "insurance" plan for my family of 5 is going to $2000/month starting Jan 1.

That alone takes 50% of $50,000



If it goes up 40% again next year (like it has the past several years) it would cost $33,600 for 2018.        

The snowball is rolling down hill and its growing fast.
