Mid Michigan | Perhaps the question should be how much can the guy afford to lose for how many years? I just watched some guys down the road a ways harvest 15 bushel soybeans with about a million dollars worth of hi tech equipment on rented ground. I'm sure crop insurance helped float that situation or the wife in town with a good job. The business would have had a hard time making that work on $135 gross. That pretty much covered the rent. The rest must have been for fun. | |
