Subject: RE: Drainage question

southern MN
A 4 inch tile can't handle 30 acres of drainage.

Just like the 8 inch tile dad put in in the 50s couldn't handle the 200 acres that eventually all drain that way.

It makes farming the ground possible, but frustrating as you have.

Dad tried to help by adding a short 10 inch tile, but both wet still overwhelmed.

Neighbor and I added a 15/12 inch tile for 2200 feet (went through a 8 and 10 foot ridges) and finally things are pretty good now.
