C IL | There's a post over in the TPP referencing the auto bailout and economic outcomes for the workers whose jobs were saved.
I had a relative that deeply believed in investing in blue-chip American companies, like GM.
What ended up happening to those stockholders and where are they at today? Did their lunch get eaten by that deal? Were they ever made whole after the fact?
My gut reaction when I think about that and MF Global don't make me feel completely sanguine about the financial system. Perhaps an underlying factor in recent stock valuations despite my simplistic understanding that rising interest rates should depress P/E ratios in the market. | |
