Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn. | When I did something like this for my 8310R. I needed to get a third party unlock from Deere for $250. This is to use Deere's CAN system. The tractor already had the unlock for Trimble but I was going with Ag Leader so I needed that third party unlock. I don't know if they are actually different or not.
On the Ag Leader side I needed to pay Ag Leader $515 for an unlock in the GeoSteer. I upgraded to SteerCommand this fall but had to pay the $515 again since this unlock went into the SteerCommand box and I needed one for the SteerCommand box. I did not have to buy a different unlock for the tractor since the one from GeoSteer works with Steer Command. When I complained about having to pay the $515 to Ag Leader twice on the same tractor, the answer was this money goes directly to Deere and there is no way around it. So my old GeoSteer went back to Ag Leader with the unlock in it. I assume they are going to destroy it to get them off the market. |
