Subject: Slugs and cover crops

Savannah, NY
Wanting to try some fall seeded cover crops. Using oats for cover after wheat harvest now. Mainly because of the oats winterkill. Can have bad slug problems in spring planted crops. Don,t do much no-till soybeans any more because of the slugs. How do you cover crop guys manage slugs? Is the green cover any worst than just corn stubble in the spring for slug enviroment. Mainly run a VT ahead of soybean planter now. Greatly reduces slug pressure. Thanks
