That's where a lot of yield is coming from here this year. After 6 weeks mid summer with 2" of rain in that span (nothing over 0.5" at a time) we had abundant rain starting August 12. Even ears where pollination was screwed up set very large kernels. I am amazed how the yields are turning out so far.
