My wife and I are expecting our first baby,
We are both Canadian citizens (not born there)
As I understand if either one of us was born in Canada it would automatically be Canadian citizen too, but since that is not the case what options do we have so our baby will be Canadian Citizen too?Was thinking about going to canada and having it there but would be quite troublesome for the farm...
Is there another way?

Things change all the time, but as of now your son/daughter will be a canadian citizen by "Jus Solis" or right of the soil, the fact that you are both canadian citizens strengthens that position. All he/she will have to do is apply for citizenship with the birth certificate.
