West Tennessee | If I have the land I can get the equipment. Just because I have the equipment I won't necessarily have the land. Told this story before but looking at an old timers books he'd bought around $100,000 in equipment over the years and around $400,000 worth of land. The equipment was all sold for less than $10k and the land was worth $4m+ (not sold). These are not actual numbers but do represent the approximate relationships. I know the equipment did work each year but it also wore out and required repairs. The land could have been rented also and produced income (which it did anyway). Really a no brainer IMO but I own zero new equipment also. | |
