West Cental Arkansas | That shiny new machinery loses value the day it is delivered to a farm. Over a period of years it has lost a large percentage of its value and will eventually end up in a scrap yard.
Land may fluctuate in value, but over a period of years it will appreciate in value. The land will always be there to deliver a return on your investment.
I have a farm my Dad bought in 1960 for $50 per acre. Also had a 4010 he bought new in 1963. 4010 has long since gone, land is still producing every year.
I realize you have to have good equipment to farm with , but in my opinion, land is always a better investment that new shiny equipment.
