I agree the exercise is good for both me and the cattle. They get more exercise than I do though. The cows and calves walk about 1/4 to 1/2 mile back to water at least once a day, usually twice. I walk the wire twice putting up a new wire then once taking up the previous days wire. The Ranger comes in handy for these moves carrying the extra reel and step-in posts. The Ranger is about the most useful tool on the farm in this type of rotational grazing system. Getting firewood ready for winter is good exercise for me even if I don't have to walk 1/4 mile to water...;-)
