Our land is 99% level, road ways as well (Missouri River bottom) that being said when pulling out of a field on to the road (slight incline) I cannot come out in 4th. This is a 9230 (Tracks) was concerned when it was purchased with the hydro being weak so purchased extended warranty (expensive, but thoughts were so is a hydro.) Third season and still is going well. You may ask why pull out of the field in 4th. it's a fairly busy area and hate to stop on the road and shift. Hope this well help put your mind at ease, I guess it's just the way it is. Yes had dealer look at it also , as you did.

Do you have a mud hog?
