east central PA | was touring eastern and central KS a couple weeks ago; piles were at most elevator sites. One banker told of a co-op renting local airstrip for the paved area to pile - didn't see this just relaying a story. the photo:
near pile is 2016 corn just being covered with space for two more
far pile is 2016 wheat
I stopped and talked with the manager at this place. he said they finished shipping 2015 corn in June and 2015 wheat in August. Making room in the bins for the 2016 harvest. 4 mil. total storage with 1/2 on a pile.
