Subject: RE: Corn piles

Nebraska aka the boondocks
I have never really put a lot of stock in the corn pile discussion. It used to be our elevator got a train a week and never piled corn. Now we have had one train in two months and that was to haul beans, so of course corn is being piled on the ground. Every year the trains are fewer at harvest. So every year morecorn here is piled on the ground. It has gotten to the point where it is almost like getting a train is like seeing a unicorn. Now the feedlot piles are getting bigger every year, which is good because that means they are feeding more.
