EMT read BSHaulers post again, if the think this is just bankers BS you need to go visit with some bankers and start living in the real world. I good place to start is at the local FSA office, you know Uncle's backed loans when no one else will take the risk loaning money to you. The whole banker/farmer deal has been talked about since last fall.

Our markets since harvest 2015 little Sept/Oct pop follow by a basically red screen all winter. Poorer basis buying all the corn and beans it needed even with a generally lower board price = MANY producers plain and simple needed cash, Mr. Commercial, Mr. End Users can figure this out all by them self's.

Then right now and for the last 2 months end users of corn have been getting all the corn then need national wide.
It really helps them (end users) getting stuffed with old crop corn prior to new crop.
Local unit loader basis was minus .-58 month end,,, now .-85
Beans .-75, now -1.00
Both very wide
This is with smoken red hot exports.

Don corn had a major low last spring also.
