I had similar symptoms after going o the fair and getting eaten by mosquitoes. I am pretty sure I had west nile virus. Did you get bit by bunches of skeeters? My sickness was several years ago and I was trying to combine with a thirty day Combine rental and I would cough so hard I almost would pass out. It was awful.
