Officially I do not believe we are IN a La Nina but.. look at the weather we got right now.. Warm/Dry in the South.. Active Hurricanes in the Atlantic.. Wet in the Cornbelt.. Wet in the North..
This was recorded back in May ???.. but.. ( https://www.theweathernetwork.com/us/news/articles/if-strong-la-nina... ) pretty much describes what is occuring RIGHT NOW.
So are we going/In a La Nina? ( http://www.cpc.ncep.noaa.gov/products/analysis_monitoring/lanina/en... )
We are skirting right along the boundry right now. I believe most meterologist believe Fall is a transition period and are waiting to see what develops before updating their outlooks.
Some have been talking about a wet winter here for us.. but golly if it remains dry.. the transition line is right to my east between wet and dry.. and boy howdie has it been wet where wet.. but dry where dry.
currently things are acting pretty "La Nina like." how long does it remain..??? |
