With the National debt approaching 20 trillion it is totally out of control. We couldn't even get out of debt if we owed 1 trillion let alone 20. Printing money is the only way our government can keep running. The only thing that makes it worth anymore than the paper it is printed on is the confidence of the public in it. One Crack in that confidence and the house of cards will tumble. Not a matter of if, just when.
Balanced budgets will never happen as the level of government spending to keep the ship afloat will not allow it. Why should we believe the financial numbers the government publishes? It's probably much worse than the numbers indicate.
