East central Iowa

Too many guys want a farm girl, they really want a woman that has faith and commitment.

Farming is a business and like so many business's when they are started require work, long hours, deferred gratification, commitment.  It means doing without now to have something later and it takes maturity.

Concentrate on character, someone who is faithful and dedicated.  People are adaptable, that goes both ways though.  There has to be more to life than farming 24/7.  That commitment should be to each other more than to a piece of land or a herd of cattle.

When you look back on your life you'll find that you could have taken more time for family, it would have been okay, you could have spent some money that you didn't think you could for a few frivolous things.  That time and money spent on your relationship is critical to a long term relationship and to your dual success as a businessman/farmer.
