The Difference between HRW and Spring Wheat futures are around a dollar.. which reflects the value of higher protein wheat right now.

I was talking to the Bartlett merchandizer in Wichita yesterday and  high protein wheat is going to be in demand he said millers were trying to make the 10 protein work  and were not happy. I honestly believe that a lot of the bunker wheat will end up being feed quality the coops are playing the carry market.

Bartlett's wheat bid in Great Bend has rallied over $.30 in the past month.. they are higher there then Hutchinson.. (which is not expected..) the central part of the state probably has some protein and maybe this is being reflected in the bids..

I fully expect protein premiums to stregthen more going forward.

This again is why bins pay.. segregating protein.. avoiding the fall harvest gut slot.. aka beans right now.. a person can probably pick up about $.50 or more per bushel just from not being forced to deliver at harvest... etc..
