Marion,ks

We have had 15in of rain since August 1st and are very wet. Our wheat is being planted late and in a less than a  desirable seed bed ( lots of wet spots and water holes that will never be planted). There are going to  be a lot less acres planted  some people are not going to plant any. It said  in our local paper  that there is over 10 million bushels of wheat on the ground in bunker within 60 miles some has been out there over a year, I wonder about the  condition of it when ever they decide to pick it up. I am only about 80 miles east of the Jonscks and what a differnce in condition .  I was talking to the Bartlett merchandizer in Wichita yesterday and  high protein wheat is going to be in demand he said millers were trying to make the 10 protein work  and were not happy. I honestly believe that a lot of the bunker wheat will end up being feed quality the coops are playing the carry market.
