Southern Nevada desert

I've planted Tiffany, Dessie, and Corvalis. I think Tiffany might be slightly better than Dessie. I had a lot of die off with Corvalis after first cutting so I won't plant it again. I've only ever planted a single variety in any one year so have no direct comparison. I usually buy whatever I can get the best deal on for uncoated seed. I hate to pay for coating. Of coarse none of this may apply to you as I'm in the humid east. I did grow a good crop on a sand hill that was just cleared up this spring. This was an area that wouldn't even grow pine trees so it doesn't need too good of ground. First year I tried it under irrigation and that was a waste of water and irrigated ground. Cutting back next year because its hard to cure here. Need preservative and even then still get some mold.

On the Tiffany in the humid east,
Tiffany is what was recommended to me here in the hot dry southwest also so it must be versatile.
