Shrink applied to wet bushels makes dry bushels. Elevators tend to charge more than just the amount of moisture removed to account for losses in the extra handling for drying like spills and auger grinding. The they charge for the drying costs. In the long run having your own dryer and storage bins will make money over paying for the shrink and drying at the elevator.
