South Dakota | So far it's going 56 bpa, which is probably 10 above APH. We were very wet in the spring and then very dry this summer, so it makes for very interesting harvesting. You find drought stunted beans and drowned out spots in the same pass, it's really variable. The yield monitor is saying 20's up to 80 depending mostly on if the sandy spots dried up the beans. Our next fields may go in the 60s, which rarely happens here. I do think the price is in for a beating after starting this harvest. We were supposed to be one of the few bad spots in the country this year. | |
