| A while back someone here on agtalk asked a very good question ... I'll ask it again.
The Quebec government routinely exports (to U.S. Northeast) vast amounts of clean (and cheap) hydro-electric power. Much more generation capacity is being built, the Lower Churchill Project, Newfoundland & Labrador no doubt hope to export a large portion via the Quebec transmission system.
Question. Why not build the necessary transmission connections to purchase 100% clean energy from Quebec??? The power is certainly available and cheaper than building/rebuilding nuclear plants. We should have built transmission connections with Quebec decades ago. | |
