The only way to have a futures market that works is to have the option to deliver or take delivery of your position.


All of the futures markets that don't really represent the market that they are supposed to, have broken or non existent delivery mechanisms.

Hogs is a prime example, there is no delivery in the hog futures market.   To make it a viable market every single commercial packing plant in the US should be a delivery site.
