That graff is not showing any years with a complete wreck in the markets like we are having now. where would .80 fats put the cow price?
My guess is that $0.80 fats would need $0.60 cows (with discounts for thin/old).
I agree that the graph doesn't cover enough years to show a real down in the cattle market. 2002/3 &4 would be nice. Can't remember the exact years in the early/mid 90's for another time period.
