Have the beginner loan for land. Good, interest is cheap. Bad, took over a year for funds to come available and they put there name on every check you get. Makes it a pain to find time to go to the FSA office to get checks signed.
That is not how I had to do it. Beginning farmer loan is what I got and everything as far as getting checks are in my name.
