NW North Dakota | The thing that makes me think it won't go up too much is that we are looking at probably the biggest durum crop ever when you factor Canada in the equation. I am sure they have plenty of VOM, too, along with other quality issues. However, the sheer volume is going to hold the market back, IMO. I have no clue how much durum is in that 2-6 ppm range, but pretty much all of that kind can be ran through a cleaner and made into choice.
That being said, I really hope you are right and I am wrong in this scenario! We have delivered all of ours that was choice out of the field to fill a contract. The rest will be run through our cleaner, but it isn't a mountain of durum like some people have. I have done one load already, and it dropped it from 3.5 to 1 ppm. | |
