Subject: RE: Meals in the Field

Central South Dakota
My wife is a city girl, so it's lunch pails, but I like to eat a warm meal at night if possible even if it is 12 or 1 am. If I have to make it myself, one meal I like is putting a hamburger patty in a pie pan covered with tinfoil and then surround it with cubed potatoes and season everything up with some seasoned salt, paprika, & pepper. Two little slices of butter and cover with tinfoil. Throw that in the oven at 400 degrees for 40 minutes while I go shower and clean up. Hot meal waiting when I'm done.

Otherwise it's lot of spaghetti, goulash, casserole, BBQ during harvest. Anything that can be warmed in the microwave easy and stored in the fridge for a couple days.
