EC Nebraska | There were some spots of bare ground out in the low areas. This is an area that we planted around because it was wet, then came back later to fill in. Didn't quite get it all filled in just right and didn't get a great stand. There are no weeds out there, despite the bare ground. Only soybeans.
The only herbicides sprayed in 2016 were 40 oz of Roundup PowerMax and 11 oz of Anthem, both pre-emerge for the darker green beans in the picture. (Anthem went on June 20, IIRC) No post pass.
Now, this is a far cry from an April applied pre. But it's still three months later, we got rains in July and August, and zero weeds emerged on bare ground. Not bad.
You can still see a few holes from the giant radishes that were out there last fall.
