| Everyone loves landlords like you, and most are willing to work our butt off and do extra to keep landlords like you. I am a younger guy and have an older neighbor, former farmer I rent from. Great guy, share rent, easy to get along with. I help mow his yard if need, patch his roof on his house, or anything else to help him out. I would do the same for other neighbors if asked but I just really appreciate someone giving a young guy a chance and not to just letting it go to the highest bidder, which seems to happen so much anymore....
Yes there are lots of great landlords out in farm country that seem to get thrown into the mix with others, but I have to say the good ones who aren't just money hungry are becoming fewer and harder to find. The thing is I would guess that a lot of landlords could say the same about us farmers, and they would be right... | |
