You have to go from one end to the other on the Mall. Capital building, Lincoln and Jefferson Memorial, Washington Monument, Smithsonian Institute (many buildings) and then across the river to National cemetery and the Tomb of the Unknown soldier.
That is a start. I think you need a reservation to tour the White house.
Your local Congressman or Senator may be able help you out with some tours and benefits too if you contract them in advance, especially if they need your vote. | |
