North Mississippi Delta / Alabama Gulf Coast | I had the staples as well. Total replacement Right knee June 13. Get some good thick Vitamin E oil and rub on the scar multiple times and it will almost disappear.
Keep your knee moving as much as possible especially first thing in the morning. Mine still aches from not moving at night, I sleep with a small pillow between my knees since I roll from side to side
The more you walk and work that joint the easier it gets. Takes a while for all the muscle and tendons to get back to normal.
BTW- Its not your knee hurting, its metal and has no feeling!!! LOL
(No, the Dr would not put in a grease zerk!)
