We spring no tilled alfalfa in bean stubble and always had excellent stands. We use the big box on a Great Plains drill with no till cart. We sat the press wheels about as shallow as they go and with 3pt hitch we run the wavy coulters just deep enough to move trash aside so the double disk openers would be in moist soft dirt. Of course you have to have a chopper spreader on the combine to spread even uniform bean trash. We could do this with a 36' foot Mac Don head on the combine.
