I was on AT&T with a flip phone, and I went to Consumer Cellular. I bought a Motorola Moto G smart phone at my local Target, and went on-line to sign up for Consumer Cellular. My only complaint is the poor battery life on the Moto G phone. But I think that is common on many smart phones. Consumer Cellular sends a monthly bill - no 1-year or 2-year contracts. If you sign up for a plan, and you are close to using all of your minutes before the month is up, Consumer Cellular sends you a notification, and you can upgrade your plan before the end of the month so you don't end up paying outrageous fees for going over your monthly minutes. If that one month was an oddball, you can go back and change it back the next month to what you had before. No hassle. So far, I have no complaints with Consumer Cellular. I switched early in 2015, if that makes a difference. I suggest going to the Consumer Cellular website and checking out the plans, if you have not already done so. |
