Sw. Ill | I like straight talk. Here they use Verizon towers. I have heard they use different towers in different areas based on where you register your phone. Look at the coverage maps to make your decision, here Verizon works good BUT for some reason there is a dead zone just north of here if you look on the Verizon map there's a big circle above st.Louis with no service, in that area I've had the best luck with trac-phones that use att tower.
So if I needed two phones I'd get one straight talk, and one att and should be covered about anywhere
