middle TN | I have done two years of annual crop. I did spring burndown for corn, followed that with ryegrass, the next spring went to beans and sorghum and sowed the novel endo fescue that fall. I don't think you can outrun the infected seedbank in one season. I know the seed cos. are pushing the one season smother crop plan, I just have my doubts. Maybe a fall burndown with a winter annual followed with a summer annual would be enough. I think the multiple burndowns between annual crops are what it will take to get ahead of the infected fescue. | |
