Fulton County Ohio | If Deere, they will push for SF2 for section control. I have one 1800 display that functioned well with swath control and one that did not. Too many issues with map shift. I expected drift side to side but when the map moves up and down the row 15'swath control is worthless. After addressing all the possible solutions and having no success I replaced the display. I have not experienced the severity of map shift I previously had. Don't know if it was the display or dumb luck. If you invest in SF2 you might as well have a 6000 receiver and SF3. Once they get you started buying they will keep selling upgrades until you get a system that works.
If your only goal is working ground and 6-12" accuracy then a cheaper system will serve you well.
I thought it was a bunch of bunk when I first looked at steering control. It is true it allows you to run longer hours with less fatigue. The equipment will do a better job than you can. Good luck. | |
