I thought the number was too high. We are average for the US at 14 acres and 1/2 an acre to provide the corn to finish. 700 lb steers fed to 1400 produce 560 lbs of beef. 14.5 acres gives you 38 lbs of beef or 96 lbs of animal per acre. West of me is far less.
We can't grow tomatoes or potatoes worth a flip though.
How should this be handled?
