Dougherty, IA | Coup talks about investing in high ROI items first, then taking the compounded profits from this investment to buy land. On the other hand, most old guys around here say to buy land early and often when you are young. As a young guy I can only afford so many payments per year - where should I put my earnings - land or high ROI investments to pay for land later? Be hard to swing both at my age.
Seems like around here there is only one or the other - guys like equipment/storage/application equipment/etc or they buy land. Biggest landowners don't have the high ROI items and the guys with high ROI items just rent land for the most part.
