| I would never suggest giving up land to trade into housing, but I would suggest taking grain profits and postponing upgrading combines, etc. and putting it into something that is depressed and runs on a different cycle than ag. Ultimately , the older people that I have been around and have watched do well over the years are landowners first, and farmers second. The advantage of rentals is if (or should I say when) you get sick of them, you have the option of an exchange to go back into more ground. | |
