Strathcona, mn | Guy with almost paid for land sells equioment line, takes equity buys more land at $100/acre payment now has 3000 acres of land at $100/acre payment. Rents out the land for $300/acre and collects $200/acre above land costs. Sits in lawn chair, drinks piƱa colatas and drinks himself silly while watching poor sucker farm ground at loss. Farmer still clears $600,000 annually without lifting finger, pure genius! Owning land and farming that land is two seperator enterprises. If you can't farm it and return more than what someone else is willing to give you for rent then the best roi is to rent it out and collect check.
Problem is unless you are born into the right family, marry into the right family or are very successful over an entire career than you will never fall into this demographic. The rest of us will struggle along and pay what rent we have to in order to farm said ground and maybe someday will graduate to the other side, lol. | |
