N.W. Ohio | With all the talk about the Pro Farmer crop tour, I have been a bit shocked that nobody on here has mentioned how badly Pro Farmer has screwed up their advisory recommendations this year. As of Friday's newsletter they still have strictly cash marketers holding the last 25% of 2015 corn and the last 15% of 2015 soybeans. They state they will sell this before the end of August... well 3 days left to make that sale. Talk about riding a market lower to the bitter end! Back in late June they made the statement that the market had collapsed so quickly that they didn't have a chance to sell. So they were waiting for a rebound to finish up the 15 marketing. Well as small as the rebound was, it did come, but yet there they are still holding a sizable amount of old crop this point. I enjoy reading their newsletter for info, but I am sure glad that I didn't follow their advice very closely this year. It appears that emotion got the best of them also this year. | |
